During the May 17 Governance Committee Negotiating Team meeting a short business meeting was held to consider a proposal submitted by the Technical Committee. The proposal included funding for approximately $2,050 to purchase Mr. Sid software. Mr. Sid software is used to compress large digital aerial photography files. Maryanne Bach suggested that the Bureau of Reclamation investigate whether or not they could use existing Mr. Sid licenses to compress the files for little or no costs. The Governance Committee agreed this should be pursued, but pre-approved the expenditure if Reclamation could not complete within their existing budget.
