Agenda
Maryanne Bach, Governance Committee (GC) Chair, called a brief GC business meeting to order and noted the only agenda item was a proposal from the Technical Committee (TC) to continue funding for a stage gage at Cottonwood Ranch.
Dale Strickland reviewed the TC proposal and Finance Committee (FC) recommendation to fund the proposal. The TC decided that continued funding of the current U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) stage gage at Nebraska Public Power District's (NPPD) Cottonwood Ranch Property as part of the Cottonwood Ranch Monitoring and Research effort was the top priority for a portion of the $40,000 established for Monitoring and Research at the Ranch in 2004. The cost for operating the gage in 2004 would be $17,000. This would leave a remaining balance of $23,000 for any additional monitoring and research efforts at the Ranch. The FC recommended approval of this funding request. Don Ament moved to approve funding the gage in the amount of $17,000. Norm Demott seconded the motion. The GC approved the expenditure.
